If you can not give them booze, you can always go for candy. Local candy particularly in Europe have a tendency to be extraordinarily in each country. Germany for instance has a genuine love for liquorice that you may find surprising as you do not see it fairly often in UK sweet shelves.

T-Shirts
Funny t shirts are a great choice for a present. So long as it’s not a rude or offensive t shirt, you can get one for virtually anyone you want to purchase a gift for. You should buy them in pretty much each country and in a selection of sizes and in womens and mens funny t shirts to suit the person you are purchasing for. Chances are they will like it even if only you know what it actually says on it.

Trinkets
If all else fails, grab something at the duty free shops in the airport or at the train station or something. You will doubtless find key rings or ashtrays with photographs from where you have been which should really be a wonderfully nice memento gift for any person.
